Product
Know every move your competitors make before your customers do.
Watchdogs is a custom-built intelligence system that monitors your competitors across websites, mobile apps, and app stores simultaneously — 24/7. Every time something shifts past your threshold, your team knows within the hour.
What Watchdogs monitors
Every surface your competitors use. All at once.
Website Pricing & Offers
We monitor competitor pricing pages, product listings, and promotional banners in real time. Every price drop, new discount, or limited-time offer is captured the moment it goes live — not when someone manually checks.
→ React to price changes before they cost you customers.
Mobile App Changes
App Store and Google Play metadata, update changelogs, screenshots, and store descriptions are monitored continuously. When a competitor ships a new feature or repositions their app listing, you know immediately.
→ Stay ahead of product moves before users notice.
In-App Pricing & Subscriptions
We track competitor subscription tiers, pricing experiments, and in-app purchase changes across platforms. If a competitor adjusts their pricing model or introduces a new plan, you'll see it before it affects your conversion.
→ Catch pricing strategy shifts before they reach your prospects.
Review & Rating Trends
Review volume, average rating, and sentiment shifts across the App Store, Google Play, Trustpilot, G2, and Capterra — monitored continuously. When a competitor's product starts receiving negative feedback, that's intelligence.
→ Identify competitor weaknesses before they become your opportunity.
Product & Inventory Changes
Stock availability, product additions and removals, category expansions — tracked at the SKU level where relevant. When a competitor goes out of stock on a key product, that's a window. Watchdogs opens it.
→ Capture demand the moment competitors can't serve it.
Messaging & Positioning Shifts
Homepage headlines, taglines, value propositions, and landing page copy are monitored for strategic shifts. When a competitor quietly repositions to go after your segment, you'll know before they gain traction.
→ Reinforce your position before competitors take ground.
Why Watchdogs
Not a generic tool. Not a manual process.
Built for your market, not the average one
Off-the-shelf monitoring tools are built for the median use case. Your competitors have specific site structures, dynamic pricing, login-gated content, and mobile apps that generic tools can't handle. Watchdogs is built from scratch for your specific targets.
Multiple sources, one system
Most businesses end up with three separate tools — one for web monitoring, one for App Store tracking, one for reviews. Watchdogs combines all of it into a single system with unified alert logic and a single point of contact.
Signal, not noise
You don't need an alert every time a competitor fixes a typo. Watchdogs uses threshold-based rules — alert when a price drops by more than 5%, when a new offer page goes live, when a rating falls below 4.0. You define what matters.
We run it. You just receive.
You don't maintain scripts, deal with broken scrapers, or manage proxies. We own the infrastructure, handle site changes when they break monitoring, and keep everything running. Your only job is to act on the intelligence.
Who it's for
Any business where speed of information is a competitive edge.
E-commerce Brands
Competing on price and promotion timing. Know the moment a competitor discounts, runs a flash sale, or changes their free shipping threshold.
SaaS Companies
Tracking feature releases, pricing page changes, and positioning shifts. Know when a competitor adds a feature your prospects ask about — before it shows up in sales calls.
Consumer App Companies
Monitoring App Store rankings, update changelogs, in-app pricing, and review sentiment. Know what competitors are shipping and how users are responding.
Retailers & Brands
Tracking promotional depth, inventory levels, and category expansion. Know when competitors discount aggressively or go out of stock on products you share.
Marketplaces & Platforms
Monitoring competitor onboarding flows, fee structures, and seller/buyer incentives. Know when the rules of the market change.
Alert delivery
Intelligence delivered wherever your team already works.
Instant alerts or scheduled digests — daily, weekly, or both. Formatted for readability, with full context on what changed and by how much.
Slack
Alerts posted directly to the channel your team already uses — with enough context to act without clicking through to a dashboard.
SMS
For time-critical alerts where email isn't fast enough. Get a text the moment a threshold is crossed — no app, no dashboard required.
Webhook / API
Send alert data directly into your own systems — CRM, pricing tools, dashboards, or any internal workflow. Full JSON payload with every event.
How it works
From first call to live monitoring.
Discovery
We map your competitors, define exactly what to track — prices, promotions, product changes, stock levels, app updates — and agree on alert thresholds and delivery preferences before anything is built.
Build
Custom scrapers and data pipelines built for your specific targets. Alert logic, delivery channels, and report formats all configured and tested end-to-end across every source simultaneously.
Go Live
Monitoring activated with a live test run across all sources. You see real alerts in your preferred channels before we sign off — no surprises after handoff.
Iterate
As your market changes, so does the monitoring. We tune thresholds, add competitors or sources, and adjust coverage based on what you're actually finding useful.

FAQ
Questions we get before every setup.
How long does it take to get Watchdogs running?
Typically 1–2 weeks from the discovery call to live monitoring. The first week is scoping and build — we map your competitors, configure the scrapers, and set up alert logic. The second week is testing with real data before we hand off.
What if a competitor blocks scraping or changes their site?
We handle it. Broken scrapers and site structure changes are part of running a monitoring system — we maintain the infrastructure, update scrapers when targets change, and notify you of any gaps while we fix them. This is included in the service, not billed separately.
Can I add more competitors or sources after launch?
Yes. Watchdogs is built to grow with your market. Adding a new competitor, a new platform, or a new data point is part of the ongoing relationship — we scope and build the addition, usually within a few days.
How is this different from Google Alerts?
Google Alerts gives you unstructured news mentions on a delay. Watchdogs gives you structured data — specific prices, specific changes, specific thresholds — from your exact competitors, in real time, delivered in a format you can act on. It also monitors mobile apps and app stores, which Google Alerts cannot.
Do I need any technical knowledge to use Watchdogs?
None. We build it, we run it, and we maintain it. You receive alerts in whatever channel you prefer and act on them. There is no dashboard to log into, no scripts to manage, and nothing to break on your end.
What happens if I want to change the alert rules or thresholds?
Just tell us. Adjusting thresholds, changing delivery channels, pausing certain alerts, or adding new rules is a quick turnaround — usually same day or next day depending on the complexity.
Ready to stop finding out too late?
Tell us who you're watching and what matters. We'll scope Watchdogs for your market and have monitoring live within two weeks.
